It Dawned On Me....
I, prefering to tout myself as a modern day feminist, constantly meet other women who are interested in women's issues and want to contribute to bettering each other's lives. We say things like, "Oh I should give money to that cause or candidate" or "I really should look into that issue".
But...... inevitably, our daily lives and dramas take over and we seldom follow up on our good intentions.
So it dawned on me - what if there was a simple, fun and inexpensive way to make a real impact? That is the purpose of this blog. Each post will include easy to understand, intriguing and sometimes funny information, about a particular issue, topic, candidate, or women's charity. If the story compels you, I invite you to contribute your time, money, or talents to the cause.
I was recently told by a very wise speaker on women's issues that we women are notorious for caring the most and contributing the least. We have to "put our money and our skills where our mouth is", so to speak.
I am excited to see where this journey will take us!
